Fri, 28 March 2008 Our first guest this week was Greg Vretis from Tomlinson Aviation. Tomlinson was our show sponsor a few weeks ago and we had previously spoken to Greg. Milford and I went to Tomlinson and got some helicopter training and had lots of fun to report back on it this show. Visit Tomlinson's web site at www.tomlinsonaviation.com. Our second guest this week was Lisa Turner. Lisa is the only female experimantal and light sport DAR (Designated Airworthiness Representative) that we know of. She has built two airplanes herself. See her web site at www.buildyourdreamairplane.com and also check out the links page on her web site for some of her and her husband's other good web sites. Comments[0] |
Fri, 28 March 2008 Our guest this week was Doctor John Derickson. Dr. Derickson is NE Florida's only AOA Certified Aviation Vision Specialist. His specialized training and experience as a private pilot make him uniquely qualified to assist fellow pilots in solving vision related difficulties and certify them as "fit to fly" for the Federal Aviation Administration. Mon, 10 March 2008 This week was one of our favorite shows. We had legendary aviation writer, photographer, flight instructor, and pilot of nearly everything that has existed with wings, Bud Davisson on the show. Bud spoke to us about his writing and flight test reports, Pitts training, the Bearhawk, and other subjects. We could probably talk to Bud for a dozen shows in a row and not run out of interesting things to talk about. Hopefully we will have him on the show again soon. Comments[0] |
Sat, 1 March 2008 By popular demand we had Shawn Knickerbocker back again. Shawn has been an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) for over 24 years. He instructs in airplanes, helicopters, gliders, and motorgliders. Shawn is also a retired U.S. Customs airplane and helicopter pilot. He has over 20,000 flight hours. We will spoke to EAA's head of Government Relations, Earl Lawrence, about the 51% rule and potential coming changes in homebuild regulations. Comments[0] |
