We are having an aviation education themed show this week.  Most of us involved in aviation know how aviation can inspire young people.  We also know that aviation can be very expensive and can seem out of reach for many people.  We have two guests this week that are working to change that.

Judy Rice is the president of Careers in Aviation.  www.careersinaviation.org   Careers in Aviation advances aerospace education and employment by fostering scholarships, by connecting students with available assistance, and by encouraging the aviation industry, professional associations, government agencies, and the educational community to work together effectively supporting aviation and space career development programs.

Colonel Jack D. Howell is the president of Teens-in-Flight.  www.teens-in-flight.com  Teens-in-Flight provides flight training and aviation maintenance scholarships to those teens who have lost a parent in the Global war on Terrorism or, is the teen of a parent who was wounded in action and is disabled. Another phase of our program also focuses on selected teens that are considered "at risk" within our community by providing a positive aviation intervention experience.

Our sponsor for this week's show is Phoenix Flight Publications.  www.phoenixflightpublications.com  They are the publisher of the "Aviation Scholarship Directory" which lists practically every flight training scholarship in the U.S. and also includes guides on how to help you get those scholarships.  This book is a must have for anyone looking for money to fulfill an aviation goal for themselves or their children.
